Terms of service
These terms apply when you use this website or ask Overseas Medical Express (海医直通车), operated by Beijing Haiyifu Technology Co., Ltd. (北京海医付科技有限公司), to help you arrange medical care in China. In these terms, "we" and "us" refer to Overseas Medical Express. By using the website or our services, you agree to them. Please also read our privacy policy.
1. What we do
We are a medical travel coordination service. We help you get your case reviewed, find a suitable hospital, and arrange appointments, interpreters, visa invitation letters, flights, hotels and follow-up.
We are not a hospital or a medical provider. We do not diagnose, treat or give medical advice. All medical decisions, including whether a treatment is suitable for you, are made by the doctors at the hospital, together with you.
2. No medical advice
Information on this website, including treatment pages and news articles, is for general information only. It is not medical advice and does not replace a consultation with a doctor. Do not delay or stop treatment because of something you read here. In an emergency, contact your local emergency services.
3. Consultation and fees
Your first consultation is free and does not commit you to anything. It covers a coordinator's conversation with you and an initial look at your records, to see whether and where care in China could be arranged. It is not a medical opinion. A written medical opinion is available through our free second opinion service. If you decide to go ahead, we will tell you in writing which services we will provide and what they cost before any work begins. Hospital fees are set by the hospital and paid as the hospital requires. Travel costs are paid as agreed with you.
4. Hospitals and other providers
Hospitals, doctors, airlines, hotels and other providers are independent of us and are responsible for their own services. Their own rules and terms apply. We choose them carefully, but we cannot control their medical decisions, availability or waiting times.
5. No guarantee of results
Medical treatment always carries risk. We cannot guarantee the outcome of any treatment, that a hospital will accept your case, or that appointments, visas or travel will be available on particular dates.
6. Your responsibilities
- Give us complete and accurate information, especially about your health.
- Follow the instructions of your doctors and the hospital's rules.
- Make sure you meet visa, entry and health requirements for travel to China.
- We strongly recommend that you have travel and medical insurance that covers your trip.
7. News and translated content
Our news section contains English translations of public reports from Chinese official media, hospital websites and research databases, each with a link to the original source. We work to keep translations accurate, but the original report is the authoritative version. Mention of a treatment, drug or hospital is not a recommendation.
8. Website content
The text, design and images on this website belong to us or are used with permission. You may read and share links to our pages for personal use. Please ask us before reusing content commercially.
9. Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for the medical care provided by hospitals or doctors, for the services of other independent providers, or for any loss caused by relying on general information on this website. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
10. Changes
We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top shows when they last changed. Changes do not affect services we have already agreed to provide.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the People's Republic of China. This does not take away any consumer protection rights you have under the laws of your own country.
